Ava Kate and Lucas Sitting in a Tree

Tuesday, February 3, 2009

our adorable neighbor, lucas (almost 3 months), came over to play with ava kate!

ava kate patted his belly (gently!) and it tickled Lucas!

Ava Kate was beaming with joy over having someone to play with!

She kept holding his hand, and then she would look at me and smile! She was VERY good with him!

Look Mommy!!!!

I think Lucas was checking her out...OH AND...lucas was at our house in Ava Kate's bouncy - sorry, its pink Scott & Rosanna!

Lucas..."I'm not so sure why they are staring at me!"

Ava Kate: "Did you see that mommy, he smiled at me!" She was so proud!

and holding hands again! Lucas was getting the hang of it by now!

We had a blast...Ava Kate and Lucas Sitting in a Tree!

Bad Mommy! It's been way too long since my last post on Ava Kate and boy do I feel guilty! Thanks for all the reminders from my loyal followers! ha! :)

So, whats new with the little princess? Well, Ava Kate is crawling!
OKAY, that's half true! It's a cute backwards crawl and slide!
And...fancy this...the girl can do push ups! It's the cutest darn thing ever. She sprawls out hands in perfect position for a push up, stretches out those long "daddy" legs of hers, and gets on her toes and pushes up! Ballerina maybe? or an athlete perhaps? I don't know both of those require grace that she will not get from her mommy or daddy for that matter!

Christmas was a blast! Santa brought her lots and lots of wonderful things that usually take a back seat to the remote or my cell phone! We did have a lot of fun and we got a digital camcorder as a family gift...so exciting! (except Ashley tortures me by shooting me close after a day of spilled milk, mashed up crackers in my hair, you know the regular mommy look at the end of the day! It's fun though! I think I may edit it all and have a little something for her first bday!

SPEAKING OF...I'm already thinking that far in advance. Can you believe Ava Kate Kelley will be 8 months old in just a couple of weeks! EEEKKKKK! It's just going to fast!

So, here's one reason the blog isn't updated as often as I desire! I'm back to work! Just from home. I'm planning events again, weddings! check out my website www.kerrikelley.com and I have a blog coming soon, Little White Book for Brides!

Here are some new pictures!!! ENJOY!

Thanksgiving was a BEAUTIFUL day, warm and sunny! After a nice big meal (way too big!), we headed outdoors for a walk and then played outside for a while! If you haven't seen Ava Kate in a while, you'll have to do a double take. This little girl is growing so fast! I've said it before and may have to eat my words down the road, but so far we have the most pleasant child! She is happy most all of the time and it she lends a smile to everyone we meet! :)

Mommy and Me Class was so much fun!

Ava Kate had a BIG DAY on her playdate with Hayesli Orange (daughter of Brandy & Bryan Orange) at Gymboree's mommy and me class! It was just the funniest thing to see Ava Kate interact. Actually she just wanted to see what everyone else was doing...my little nosey rosey! While everyone else was learning tacticals, Ava Kate was busy studying the others while they gleefully squealed! Seriously, though we had a great time - tummy time with the giant mirror and "the parachute" were HUGE hits for our little Lala!!!! She even showed off her new trick...ROLLING OVER!!!

our little "pumpkin"

So, here is our pumpkin carving pictures. WORD TO THE WISE...Pumpkins DO NOT last all month. They fail to tell you this when you are happily bee bopping around the pumpkin patch (albeit the 90 degree weather should've been a clue it was a tad bit too early to be lugging home a 40 lb pumpkin!). In true Kerri fashion, I was so eager to get the halloween festivities underway that I failed to think about the poor pumpkin's lifespans! Poor things....and the mums....oh, don't even get me started. They are now a natural habitat for all green lizards within a 20 mile radius!

I really love...

I really love............her voice, her "gummy" little smile, the way her eyes swint like her mommy's when she's laughs, her soft belly, her drooly kisses (saved only for her mom), the way she loves that "green frog", how she and I share secrets that no one else can know, to look across the room and realize she is staring back at me, to see a broad grin come across that beautiful little face when she opens her eyes from naptime, the way she examines people, other children, dogs, toys, - she's thinking and I wonder what out little "einstein" is figuring out, when her little cry turns to laughter, the way she smells after bathtime, breathing her in like I may never take another breath, and most of all I just LOVE being her mommy!!!!!!!!!! She is all things precious to me!
